We are pleased to announce the appointment of Shefali Mookecherry as Chief Information Security Officer of the University of Illinois at Chicago, effective January 23rd. Shefali said that Edward joined his UIC from Elmhurst Health, where he also served as Chief Information Security Officer. of that organization from 2020.
Shefali is a seasoned expert in promoting interoperability and compliance, with expertise in information security, higher education privacy, HIPAA, research, and healthcare policy and strategy. With over 20 years of post-secondary education experience (including over 30 years of healthcare experience) and 17 of them in senior management positions, she has held the role of Chief Information Security Officer and implemented information security. recognized as an expert in cybersecurity.
