The Douglas County Health Department has confirmed an active case of tuberculosis at a local YMCA. The health department is investigating his more than 500 possible infections that may have occurred at his Westview YMCA drop-in day care near 156th Street and Summit Plaza. The possible infections may have occurred between late spring and late October, and DCHD will continue to investigate the patient’s whereabouts while they were contagious to understand the possibility of further infections. DCHD will notify parents of children who had close contact with the patient and others who may have been exposed.
