He holds bachelor’s degrees from Texas Christian University and Emory University, and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College.
Pestle’s grandfather and uncle were doctors, and she has always been fascinated by medicine.
“Being a doctor’s assistant fits my home life the best and I enjoy it a lot,” she said.
She has a special interest in longevity research and well-being.
“My goal is to help people stay strong and healthy for as long as possible,” she said.
Her approach to care begins with listening.
“I’m trying to figure out what might be underlying their symptoms,” Pestle said. “Working with the whole person resonates with me.”
She spent time in the area, visiting family and working on her property in Siuslaw National Forest. She decided to join Samaritan because of her mission to build healthier communities together and her values of Pride (Passion, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence).
“It’s really in line with my medical philosophy,” Pestle said.
Away from the office, Pestle enjoys regenerative gardening, hiking, meditation, and working on the farm.
