An information note from the DGOS aims to disseminate the specifications for five modes of psychiatric care: medical-psychological centers (CMP), therapeutic activity and group time centers (CATTG), day hospitals (HDJ), therapeutic apartments (AT) as well as post-acute care centers (CeSPA) * in order to standardize their operation.

These specifications are composed of:

  • A reminder of the general principles which have been included in the public health code by the new psychiatric authorization regime and which apply to all modes of care;
  • Elements specific to each mode of support concerning its missions, its target audience, its inclusion in the care pathway and its operation.
    These specifications are intended to standardize the operation of these five modes of care by establishing a common base for all. However, a certain flexibility must be ensured in order to adapt to the territory concerned, the population monitored and the resources available.
    The specifications must be shared with all authorized psychiatric establishments

*A decree dated July 4, 2025 eliminates the names “part-time therapeutic reception centers” (CATTP) as well as “after-care centers” and creates post-acute care centers (CeSPA) as well as centers for therapeutic activities and group time (CATTG).
