With international experience in Canada and recognized expertise in hospital management, the former Director of Pitié-Salpêtrière at the Public Assistance of Paris Hospitals (AP-HP), Pauline Maisani succeeds Guillaume Couillard at the head of the GHU Paris Psychiatry and Neurosciences which includes the hospitals of Sainte-Anne, Maison-Blanche and Perray-Vaucluse.
Following the appointments of hospital directors made official on April 27, the National Management Center confirmed on May 7 the arrival of Pauline Maisani at the head of the Paris psychiatry and neuroscience university hospital group (GHU), replacing Guillaume Couillard, who joined the National Health Insurance Fund this winter. At 54, this former student of the National School of Public Health is leaving her position as director of Pitié-Salpêtrière after eleven years spent in the Public Assistance of Paris hospitals.
International experience
Her career began at Lille University Hospital before joining AP-HP as a finance assistant. In 2010, she chose expatriation for four years to manage the strategic planning of the Montreal University Hospital in Quebec. Back in France, she successively managed the quality department then the Paris Nord Val de Seine hospitals. After managing the Beaujon and Bichat sites from June 2019, she took the reins of Pitié Salpêtrière at the end of 2021.
