The play “Diagnostik” combines humor, emotion and reflection, and addresses issues of mental health, the role of caregivers and even misinformation. It will be performed from April 22 to May 27, 2026 at the Théâtre Darius Milhaud in Paris.
After the success of the play, presented from January 9 to February 27, 2026 at the Théâtre Darius Milhaud (Paris 19th), the actors of “Diagnostik”, a one-hour show on bipolarity, written by Marina Cacciotti and directed by the company Closed Skyreturn to the stage, from April 22 to May 27.
What is bipolarity when experienced?
Albert and Violette (actors Arthur Laurent and Marina Cacciotti) are two teenagers in physics and chemistry class. Albert learns that his father is bipolar, and confides him to Violette. Convinced that it is hereditary, this is the start of frenzied research during which the adolescents try to make a diagnosis of Albert’s symptoms. In an atmosphere of colorful celebration and explosive experiences, they attempt to reconstruct disjointed family conversations, unexpected appointments with the psychiatrist, and more or less scientific explanations found on the internet. Albert dives into his memories mixed with those of his father. We then ask ourselves: what is bipolarity when it is experienced? And what is bipolarity when we only see it invade the bodies and hearts of those close to us?
“Diagnostik”, beyond bipolarity, talks about adolescence, family relationships and especially caregivers, those who support, accompany, those who hold the foundations of the house which is collapsing.
