“Focus on mental health”, a game to raise awareness and free speech in business

This collective awareness workshop on mental health is based on a board game which allows for free speech around a subject still sometimes perceived as sensitive in business, while promoting the appropriation of knowledge by the participants.

Established as a Great National Cause in 2025 and 2026, mental health is now emerging as a major issue for organizations, both for the well-being of employees, risk prevention and collective performance. In this context, the JLO Group, a consulting firm specializing in Human Resources and QVCT (Quality of Life and Working Conditions) and subsidiary of the APICIL Group, has designed “Focus on mental health”, a collective awareness workshop based on a board game. The system aims to establish a more open and uninhibited dialogue around mental health in the professional environment.

Led by an occupational health consultant, “Focus on mental health” is based on a board game made up of 65 cards divided into five categories: preconceived ideas, general culture, warning signs, recommendations and special cards. From 3 to 12 participants, divided into three teams, take part in a game of approximately 30 minutes of actual play. In turn, the teams progress on the board thanks to a die roll and answer the questions asked by the facilitator according to the category of the box reached. Throughout the game, participants exchange, reflect and learn together in a setting that encourages discussion and the sharing of experiences. Each awareness session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes depending on the audience. An enriched version, incorporating additional cards and content adapted to HR and managerial functions, is also available.

« Cap sur la santé mentale » poursuit un triple objectif de prévention :
- sensibiliser aux fondamentaux de la santé mentale et déconstruire les idées reçues ;
- aider à identifier les signaux d’alerte et les facteurs de protection, pour soi-même comme pour les autres ;
- partager des recommandations concrètes d’auto-gestion et de régulation (déconnexion, sommeil, nutrition, loisirs, relations sociales...).

“Focus on mental health” is aimed at all organizations, regardless of their size, sector of activity or status. SMEs, large groups, communities or public establishments can therefore rely on this tool to raise awareness among their employees and managers, executives and non-executives, of mental health issues.
