Pauline Maisani, new director of GHU Paris psychiatry & neurosciences

“Familiar with the hospital since childhood and passionate about this concentrated place of humanity” Pauline Maisani is the new director of GHU Paris psychiatry & neurosciences. She has more than 25 years of experience in the management of public health establishments in France and Quebec.

Trained at the Rennes School of Advanced Public Health StudiesPauline Maisani was first deputy director of the CHRU of Lille then of the Cochin – St-Vincent de Paul hospitals in Paris.
She then took charge of strategic planning and development at the Montreal University Hospital for four years, in the context of the merger of three hospitals.

In 2014, she returned to AP-HP headquarters, as head of the Care Quality-Safety department. In 2017, she took over the management of AP-HP establishments, first the Beaujon and Bichat-Claude Bernard hospitals then since 2021, became deputy general director of the GH AP-HP Sorbonne University which has 7 sites including Pitié-Salpêtrière (600 beds and 400 places in medicine, surgery and obstetrics, with a strong specialization in neurological and psychiatric diseases, and the largest department of child psychiatry of France.

Pauline Maisani thus motivates her desire to become director of the GHU Paris psychiatry & neurosciences: “I am happy and honored to join GHU Paris, the leading mental health establishment in France and a recognized university center in neuroscience. Lecturer at Paris Dauphine University within the MBA Health Management since 2011, she also coordinated for several years the hospital module of the Master in Vigilance and Health Safety at the University of Paris (Descartes).

Inasmuch as member of the Board of Directors of the French Institute of Patient Experience since its creation in 2016, a sign of the attention she pays to the patient’s experience and their involvement in their care, she considers that her mission as hospital director consists of being “guaranteeing the best possible access to quality care for users, also paying attention to caregivers, while respecting the skills and quality of life at work of the teams. »

Pauline Maisani is also a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
