After storm Nils and drought, the Thuir Hospital Center signs a partnership agreement with Arbore in France for the reforestation of the hospital site
On April 15, 2026, at the end of its supervisory board meeting, the Thuir Hospital Center signed a five-year partnership agreement with the Arbore endowment fund in France, launching a reforestation and revegetation program on its 32 hectares of land. A direct response to the damage caused by storm Nils and a prolonged drought, and a strong institutional commitment in favor of the ecological transition. Beyond the restoration of the plant cover, the project aims to create islands of freshness on the site, responding to a concrete thermal comfort challenge for hospitalized patients and the professionals who work there on a daily basis. By capturing carbon and promoting biodiversity, the establishment is part of an integrated and measurable sustainable development logic.
This partnership was also designed as an invitation to employees to concretely engage in a Corporate Social Responsibility approach (CSR refers to the contribution of companies to sustainable development issues): planting days, training, local events — all actions coordinated by Arbore in France in which hospital teams will be invited to participate directly. The objective is to allow everyone to take ownership of the ecological transition of their workplace rather than having to endure it.
Committed over five years, this agreement structures an operational partnership over the long term in which Arbore in France will provide leadership, training of volunteers and coordination of plantings, while the Hospital Center will make its land available and mobilize its teams and partners.
